TCO London Co-Founder named new Content Marketing Association Chairman
Vince Medeiros, co-founder and publisher of TCO London, has been named chairman of the Content Marketing Association (CMA). Medeiros, a member of CMA’s management team, takes over from Matt Adams, the chief executive of Havas Media UK, who has held the position for the past year.
TCO is parent company of award-winning media brands Huck (youth culture) and Little White Lies (film and entertainment). Its agency division leverages editorial expertise and audience insight to create content-led campaigns for brands such as Vans, Budweiser and Destination Canada. Recent work includes digital content around the iconic Nike Nothing Beats a Londoner campaign. Vince is also a PhD candidate focusing on youth media and related business models.
Vince said: “It’s an honour to be able to help drive such a thriving industry. There’s little doubt that great content is the strongest answer to what is a massively oversupplied ‘attention economy’: it helps brands establish a strong relationship with consumers while offering informational and entertainment value. When done well, everybody wins.”
Working with Medeiros across the CMA management team are Clare Broadbent, chief executive of Cedar; Philip O’Connell, Commercial Director, The CMA; and Andrew Hirsh, chief executive of John Brown Media.
Catherine Maskell, Managing Director of the Content Marketing Association, said: “Over the past 12 months, the CMA has continued to grow and transform. Our expanding membership represent the evolving force of both technology and content, upholding our mission statement that puts innovation and best practice at the heart of content marketing.
“I would personally like to thank Matt for his invaluable support, whilst welcoming Vince to the role. He has been a big supporter of the CMA and content marketing for some considerable years, and I’m delighted that he has taken on the chairperson role.”
