What is Freedom? Helen Job from TCOLab talks to Canal180

To celebrate Portuguese Freedom Day, and their own broadcasting anniversary Canal180, an alternative media platform based in Lisbon, is asking the question – “what does it mean to be free?”

The answers come from the perspective of independent creative voices that are part of their ever-growing community. Through a film, a series and special TV programming, they present the opinions of artists, directors, curators, musicians, photographers and thinkers, that defy the dominant narratives and explore the concepts of freedom.

In the video series What’s Next? they invited artists, curators, musicians, photographers and video directors Jacco Gardner, David Wilson, Pauline Foessel, Kovi Konowiecki, Mariana Vilanova, David Quiles Guilló, Elise By Olsen,  Albert Folch and TCO’s Head of Insight Helen Job to hear their perspectives on how we can take the opportunities of today's context to build what comes next.

Helen spoke about reimagining freedom, the outcome of this crisis having to do with the choices people make along the way, the increased level of public scrutiny on brands and a desire post-crisis to transform business into something more humane, inclusive and fair.
